Hearing

Sound is an important part of everyday life. You depend on hearing sounds to perform many routine activities, such as using the telephone, conducting business, attending school and talking with family and friends.

A hearing loss of any kind, at any age, can significantly affect your quality of life. Hearing loss often occurs gradually without you knowing it. You may begin to ask people to repeat themselves. Hearing over the telephone becomes difficult. Everyone seems to be mumbling, especially during conversation in a crowded room. Or you may need the television or radio volume turned higher than others.

These are all signs that you need your hearing checked by our physicians or audiologists.

Our staff of professionals provides complete diagnostic hearing evaluation for hearing disorders.

Many people experience hearing loss gradually, often due to the natural aging process or long exposure to loud noise. Hearing loss can also be a sign of more serious health problems.

If you think you may have a hearing loss, please take this quick and easy 5 minute hearing test. You will receive 3 points for each "almost always," 2 for every "half the time," 1 for every "occasionally," and 0 for every "never" answer. Print the test, fill it out and bring it with you to your next appointment.

                           5-Minute Hearing Test

Working closely together, our team of doctors and hearing aid specialists examines your particular hearing problem and develops a treatment plan based on your individual needs. Treatment may include medications, surgery, the use of a hearing aid, or a combination of these.

We encourage you to ask questions at any time about your evaluation and treatment.
